Grateful Son Charles Buss Thanks Fatima Villa Staff for Excellent Care Given to His Mom

We get many thank you notes and letters of appreciation from family and friends of our residents.  They always make us feel proud.  Here is one of our most recent:

“My aunt told me to judge a nursing facility by the care given.  I was impressed as my mother Rose Buss was with the care received in St Rose.  All the staff from housekeeping , nursing staff, PR, OT and her doctor helped her to recover and speed her was home.  Thank you all.”

Silicon Valley Health and Wellness Expo at the Saratoga Senior Center

Our Lady of Fatima Villa was well represented at the Silicon Valley Wellness Expo on 10/31/15 at the Saratoga Senior Center from 10 am to 1 pm.

We talked to many who stopped by our table for information on our care services.

It was a well-attended event and declared a success by organizers who offered free flu shots.

The crowd, particularly the vendors, got into the Halloween Spirit with costumes and candy.  Our Micaela Parsons won “the silliest costume” and 10 free yoga classes to Breathe in Los Gatos!

A Wonderful Halloween Open House -- Fun for all!

What a wonderful Halloween Open House at Our Lady of Fatime Villa.  We had a wonderful 'Kitty" and her family stop in because they saw our banner!  That made us really happy -- and Kitty was so cute!  We welcomed princesses and bat men and turtles...the residents loved them all.  There was a magician, amazing Halloween treats, singing and just good fun.   We are already looking forward to next year!

United Nations 70th Birthday Celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Villa

Our Lady of Fatima Villa celebrated the 70th founding day of the United Nations with a UN parade of flags representing flags of countries around the world.

Also present to help with the celebration was the “Saratoga Taiko Group” led by one of our own AL residents - Marilyn White.

The program started with the brief history of UN, plus the reading of the list of all member countries.

Resident Marilyn Friesen shared her personal story with the UN founding day and her father’s involvement in this historic event 70 years ago, which took place in San Francisco.

Seniors Celebrate UN Founding Day with an International Dessert Extravaganza

Residents recognized United Nations Founding Day with an International Dessert Extravaganza.  Our own chefs, Jose and Dexter, whipped up cakes and pastries representing 12 UN countries. Along with the delicious desserts, a photo booth was set up for our residents.

It was a tasty way to celebrate a momentous occasion.
