Our Lady of Fatima Villa Preparing for Annual Board of Directors Christmas Dinner

The annual Christmas Board Meeting and Annual Dinner Honoring Current and Past Board Members (a long title!) is a Holiday favorite!  Chef Jose goes out of his way to create a wonderful reception and dinner.  We do this as a way to let our current and past Board members (both the Operating Board and the Foundation Board) know how much we appreciate their time and efforts!

Thanksgiving was a Joyous Happy Time at Our Lady of Fatima Villa

What a wonderful -- and delicious -- Thanksgiving we had at Our Lady of Fatima Villa.  Over 50 family members and friends joined our residents for a turkey dinner, created by our Chef Jose and his staff.  We always look forward to seeing the families and friends of our residents. We realize how lucky we are to live in a safe, caring and compassionate home.  Happy Holidays to all!

Chocolate Turkeys? You bet and they were delicious!

President and CEO Bella Mahoney hosted a special Thanksgiving lunch for all Assisted Living residents on November 24th.  She gifted each attendee with a chocolate turkey from See's Candy...which was very popular.  Even more popular was the manner in which she distributed the turkeys -- Bella's granddaughter Natalia helped her hand out the turkeys, making it all that much more special!  Natalia is three and the apple of her grandmother's eye...and our residents agree!

Our Lady of Fatima Residents Honor Those Who Fought to Keep Us Free

Residents of Our Lady of Fatima Villa remember all too well losing husbands, sons, daughters, family and friends to wars.  Most of our residents belong to the generation that produced dedicated war veterans of the 20th century.  And almost all had loved ones who served in the Armed Forces.

They gathered to commemorate and honor those brave veterans.  Some spoke about their memories and what this country and our freedom means to them.

It was a touching and heartfelt memorial to our Veterans on their recognition day.
