Musical Requests Enjoyed at Spring Jazz Concert

What a Great Way to Honor International Jazz Month (April) with a Spring jazz Concert!

It was a perfect way to kick off a series of upcoming warm-weather outdoor events our Activity Director has planned.

Performers were: Tony Bolivar, Sax/flute; Jonathan Rojo, Drums; Karen Rodriguez, Vocals, and our Activity Director, Red Concepcion on keys.  Resident Marilyn Friesen stepped in on percussion!

It was near perfect weather and our courtyard was almost packed. Iced lemonade was served, along with mini corndogs, and chicken nuggets, prepared by Chef Dexter.

Staff Responds Well to Surprise 5am Practice Disaster Drill

We take caring for our residents seriously -- that is why we have been practicing emergency disaster drills this month (and throughout the year).  The latest practice came at the early hour of 5am -- but our staff responded as the professionals they are!  It meant emergency power, alerting (without alarming) residents, moving residents and their belongings and medical records to safety.  We aren't encouragng trouble, but want to do all we can to be prepared when and if trouble occurs.  Congratulations to our staff -- and to our residents also.
