Tanya Garbo has been an exceptional nurse. She makes me feel like I am part of the family -- always smiling and happy to help me when I ask for assistance.
I think everyone I have met here is nice, however Tanya is my favorite nurse.

Our Lady of Fatima Villa celebrated the Philippine Independence Day. The Philippines declared their independence from Spain on June 12, 1898. The Philippines had been under Spanish rule for almost 300 years since the time Magellan first came to the islands in 1521.
The main feature of the event was the concert of the Filipino choir from St Lawrence Parish Church. They were performed Filipino classic music as well as a dramatization of Philippine culture. Regional food from the Philippine islands was served to residents by the Choir members.
Sr. Ruth Raftery, 101 celebrated her 80th Jubilee honoring her 80 as a Sister of the Holy Names.
The Jubilee celebration took place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Los Gatos. Mass was celebrated at 2 pm, followed by a reception in their hall.
A Jubilee celebration in the Catholic tradition is the celebration of an anniversary. Sister Ruth resides at Our Lady of Fatima Villa, an award-winning senior care facility in Saratoga, California.

Plans to introduce rehabilitation services delivered to patient's homes are being developed at Our Lady of Fatima Villa. The new service will be named Rehab 4/2 U It is designed patients who for whatever reason, are not able to travel to rehabilitation clinics, Rehabilitation therapist will come to the patient's home and will supervise doctor-prescribed therapy. Please check back for more information on this new service.
Please welcome Izzy de Araujo as our new Assistant Director of Nursing at Our Lady of Fatima Villa. Izzy (as he prefers to be known) is a highly competent, compassionate, and patient-focused LVN with 8 years of experience in adult and pediatric care.

The Saratoga Historical Foundation honored Our Lady of Fatima Board Member Ernie Kraule, along with Bob Cancellieri and Betty Peck with a catered dinner at the Saratoga Foothill Club on May 22.
