Our Lady of Fatima President and CEO, Bella Mahoney, attended her first Rotary International Convetion in Sydney, Australia. "I was overwhelmed by the positive energy that was everywhere during the convention.  It gave me a new perspective on this worldwide service organization of 1.2 million members.  In Sydney 18,603 paid registrants represented 153 countries.  I am proud to be an active member of a group that makes such a positive contribution to our world, " she said.  Ms.

This blogger is traveling with Fatima Villa President and CEO Bella Mahoney as she represents Saratoga Rotary CLub's International Committee at the Rotary International Convention in Sydney, Australia.  As in her job as Fatima Villa's tireless administrator, Bella is an amazing traveler and fun to travel with.  She was one of hundreds of Rotarians who climbed Sydney's iconic Harbour (sic) Bridge.

Did you know that Our Lady of Fatima Villa and Morrison (their contracted partner in fine cuisine) do catering?  And they do it very well!   I used Chef Jose and his staff for a large 200+ person event at my home and I was thrilled with every item prepared, served and poured.  You may not think of Fatima Villa for catering...but I am sure you will be as pleased as I was.  My husband and I both gave them A+ across the board!  -- Debby and Tom Rice

We have heard many wonderful comments from those who saw our Mother's Day ad in the Saratoga News featuring some of our residents -- thanks to their families who wanted to do something special to honor their Moms.

The Rotary Club of Saratoga said "thank you" loud and clear to the staff and residents of Our Lady of Fatima Villa for their sponsorship of the 57th Annual Saratoga Rotary Art Show.  This is the eighth year that Fatima Villa has sponsored the Show.  Art Show proceeds have returned over $2.2 million to local non-profit organizations through a grant process. 

Once again, Our Lady of Fatima Villa is proud to sponsor the Saratoga Rotary Art Show, held Sunday May 4 at West Valley College. This annual fundraiser and community event has returned over $2.2 million to local non-profit organizations in its 57 year history. We encourage you to bring your family and friends to the Show with a Heart!

Today I attended a memorial service held to honor those residents that have passed during the last few months.  My mother was one of those life was celebrated.  Father Adel spoke to the crowd of th importance of celebrating life at any age and any season.  Many family members were in attendance and had an opportunity to speak about their loved one.  It was a touching and meaningful occasion.

Our Lady of Fatima Villa believes in being prepared and has endorsed the CERT program (Community Emergency Response Team) by taking a leadership position.

CERT educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional help is not available.

Children and parents are invited to an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19 at 11 AM.  We are happy to once again have enthusiastic members of the Interact Club of Saratoga High helping at th event.  Interact is sponsored by the Saratoga Rotary Club.  The club has been a great help in other events such as Fatima Villa's Halloween Trick or Treat Open House.  We sincerely appreciate their volunteer spirit!
