Our Lady of Fatima Villa's first fundraiser in many years has many sponsors backing the Pampered Pig Stampede and Royal Pig Derby. We thank ONR (Orthopedic and Neurological Rehabilitation), Filice Insurance, Joihn Palladino of Fiduciary Advisors, Attorney Lawrence Garcia, and Arcwell for the generous support. In addition, wine has been donated by Russell and Susan Perry of Red Tractor Winery, Richard Hanke of LeftBend Winery, Paul Conrado of Conrado Cellars, and Dan Doore. We ar currently about half way to our fundraising goal of $150K.

Hang onto your hats – if you haven’t heard, The Pampered Pig Stampede and The Very Pampered Royal Pig Derby are coming to Our Lady of Fatima Villa on June 27th. There will be a full day of baby piggy races and it’s bound to be a win-win for us all. So please mark your calendar for Saturday, June 27th. You won’t want to miss it.

Our residents and their families show their appreciation of the care given at Our Lady of Fatima Villa in many ways. We are fortunate to received notes of thanks, special meals for our staff. Recently we received a significant donation from resident Lee Lester and his family. The donation will go toward our first fundraiser in quite a while -- to a refurbished rehab unit that will benefit our residents and members of our greater community. Memorial Day Celebration at Our Lady of Fatima Villa Honored Those Who Served Our Country Firefighters from the City of Saratoga joined the extended family of Our Lady of Fatima Villa for a special Memorial Day celebration. Five Firefighters carried our nation’s flag and led a parade through our courtyard. Residents waved small Stars and Stripes. Our National Anthem was sung, and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Tony Bolivar of Mission Hills Academy who served in the US Air Force.

Cristina Daquigan, BSRN, has been chosen as the new Assistant Director of Nurses at Our Lady of Fatima Villa. Director of Nursing, Audrey Alm was looking for a person who had the combination of: competence, kindness, integrity and also respected supervision (the chosen candidate would have bosses). “Cristina ‘aced’ her interview with our Clinical Team leaders, said Alm. “Her past work experience and clinical skills impressed us all.”

The San Francisco-based design firm of Perkins-Eastman has submitted a first look at the planned Refurbished Rehab Unit for Our Lady of Fatima Villa. The planned unit is the $150K goal of Our Lady of Fatima Villa's first fundraising event in some time. The fundraiser will be an all-day event, beginning with the Pampered Pig Stampede, geared for families and running from 11am-2pm on June 27th. The second event is the Royal Pig Derby, featuring a gourmet dinner, libations, music, dancing and games. Tickets for both events are available at Our Lady of Fatima Villa and Eventbrite.
