Our Lady of Fatima Villa is a wonderful place to live. You can tell that in many ways --- one, involvement of the staff and doctors. Our dedicated doctor, Dr. Melissa Frederick joined other staff and residents to get a head start making Valentine's decorations. Nice job Dr. Frederick!
We love to see our residents having a good time. So there were lots of smiles at our Wine and Cheese Event. Wine selections included Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel. Chef Jose and his staff provided a wide and wonderful assortment of cheeses to go along with the wine. And to top it off, residents enjoyed live music by Dan Kennedy.

These happy dancers were enjoying an activity called Music and Senses. It's a morning activity designed to awaken the senses. Residents listen and dance to music, then smell, taste and enjoy hot chocolate. Those who can't dance awakened their senses just by watching! Marilyn Friesen and Dolores Stout are pictured above with their volunteer partners.

Northern California has been hit by record rainfall. Locations have reported 21.5 inches of rain in the Santa Cruz mountains in the past 72 hours, just a mile or two from Our Lady of Fatima Villa. Our staff has been standing by, clearing drains and debris. We have had no problems, and are happy to report that we are safe, dry and warm. It appears that the long drought is over!

She is truly young at heart and celebrates life each and every day..much like others at Our Lady of Fatima Villa. Residents donned hats to celebrate the New Year. Santa Claus was there -- but residents enjoyed Elvis almost as much at the annual Residents' Christmas party at Our Lady of Fatima Villa. "Elvis" sang and danced with the residents and was a huge hit. The party included much more than Elvis. Santa Claus arrived with his helpers and there was music, singing and dancing and gifts! We hope you and your family had as much fun as we did!

Bella Mahoney, President and CEO of Our Lady of Fatima Villa, publicly (and personally) thanked Jerry Bruce from Saratoga Federated Church for his help during the construction of our new parking lot. Saratoga Federated Church graciously shared their parking lot with residents, staff and vendors during construction, when our parking lot was closed. Ms. Mahoney said, "We are so grateful to all at Saratoga Federated..they have been so cooperative and generous. We could not have provided alternate parking without their help. Thank you!"
