Talk of the Villa's First Taping Features Local Dignitaries

Hoda and Kathie Lee can't hold a candle (in our opinions) to Marilyn White and Marilyn Friesen who hosted a video segment called "Talk of the Villa" at the Saratoga Rotary Art Show.  The Marilyns (as we call them) interiewed past and current Mayors of Saratoga (Chuck Page and Manny Cappello);  this year's Art Show Chairman, Bill Comport; Carol Burns, arepresentative from the Bay Area News Group, and others.

"Talk of the Villa" is hoped to be a semi-regular show featuring people and events of interest to Saratogans, and also events and people at Our Lady of Fatima Villa.

Our Lady of Fatima Villa Lounge at the Art Show -- a Hit!

For the second year in a row, Our Lady of Fatima Villa has hosted a Lounge at the Saratoga Rotary Art Show.  Should it be hot, cold, windy, rainy...or event nice weather....Art Show attendees are welcome to come a sit a spell, rest their legs and enjoy the entertainment from the stage close by.  Flavored waters and M & M's were a draw this year.  Many visitors thanked us for havaing such a comfortable place to rest after shopping at the Art Show!  We definitely care for our community!

Residents Go Out to Lunch at Holder's Family Restaurant

Our residents love to go out to lunch at local restaurants.  The latest outing was to Holder's Family Restaurant in Cupertino. Holder's has been a favorite gathering place since 1957.In 1957, Jack and Anne Holder sold their Dairy Queen in Roseburg and moved their family to the “Valley of Hearts Delight” to open Uncle John’s Pancake House in Santa Clara. Jack and Anne’s pancakes and waffles made Uncle John’s one of the most popular restaurants in the Bay Area.

We Celebrate the Upcoming Wedding of One of Our Staff Members!

Julie Babicka is one of our outstanding staff members -- she has been awarded "Employee of the Month" more than once!  It's because she cares about those in her care!  So, naturally, when she announced her engagement, we wanted to celebrate the occasion.  And we did with a lunch in her honor.  Congratulations Julie, we wish you many years of happiness!
